Live Boxing Scorecards: Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry Before the 6th-Round Knockout

Jake Paul seemed on track for a clear win over Mike Perry before delivering a TKO in the sixth round. A left hand stunned Perry, and Paul followed up with a barrage that floored Perry for the third time. Though Perry got back up, the referee stopped the fight.

CBS Sports' Brent Brookhouse scored it 50-43 for Paul going into the sixth round. USA Today's Josh Peter had it 49-44, and Zain Bando of Sporting News scored it 49-45. Veteran boxing writer Dan Rafael gave Paul four out of five rounds.

CompuBox stats showed Paul landing 96 punches to Perry's 33, with a 42.5 percent connection rate. Conor McGregor, part-owner of BKFC, was so unhappy with Perry's showing that he "fired" him. Perry stepped in as a replacement for Mike Tyson, who withdrew in May due to an ulcer. Tyson and Paul are now set to fight on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

On Saturday, Perry was clearly outmatched, as this was only his second professional boxing fight. Paul, 27, will likely have an age advantage over the 58-year-old Tyson, though Tyson’s extensive experience could make for a tougher bout.
